Giải thưởng eASIA 2011 sẽ được công bố vào ngày 4 tháng 11 năm 2011 bên lề Hội nghị lần thứ 29 của AFACT và cuộc họp EDICOM 2011 tổ chức ở Đài Loan.
Việc xem xét và trao giải thưởng cho các tổ chức và doanh nghiệp được chia ra thành 5 nhóm:
1. Giải thưởng ứng dụng thương mại điện tử trong thuận lợi hóa thương mại
2. Giải thưởng ứng dụng thương mại điện tử trong khu vực công
3. Giải thưởng ứng dụng thương mại điện tử trong khu vực tư nhân
4. Giải thưởng ứng dụng thương mại điện tử thu hẹp khoảng cách số
5. Giải đặc biệt
Các tổ chức và doanh nghiệp muốn tham gia giải thưởng eASIA phải được Trưởng đoàn AFACT của nền kinh tế thành viên đề cử với Ban Thư ký AFACT trước ngày 20/8/2011. Cục Thương mại điện tử và Công nghệ thông tin thuộc Bộ Công Thương là đầu mối của Việt Nam trong các hoạt động của AFACT. Lãnh đạo Cục đã đề nghị Hiệp hội Thương mại điện tử Việt Nam phối hợp, giới thiệu các hội viên có đóng góp xuất sắc trong các hoạt động thuộc 5 nhóm trên đăng ký tham gia Giải thưởng eASIA 2011.
VECOM xin thông báo tới toàn thể hội viên về giải thưởng này và đề nghị các hội viên quan tâm gửi Phiếu đăng ký qua hộp thư điện tử office@vecom.vn tới Hiệp hội trước ngày 31/7/2011.

Năm 2009 một hội viên của VECOM là Công ty cổ phần Dịch vụ Thẻ Smartlink đã tham gia Giải thưởng eAsia Award 2009 được tổ chức tại Ấn độ. Dự án “Cổng thanh toán cho thương mại điện tử Việt Nam” của Smartlink đã lọt vào vòng bán kết.

1. Trade Facilitation
The award will be focused on projects that: 1) improve the balance among governmental legislation, 2) enhance international trade and eBusiness, 3) increase information visibility, by evaluating the concrete effects on trade regulatory and facilitating agencies control and security, tax-related efficiency, trade promotion, and business efficiency, 4) adopt a leading model in terms of simplification in trade procedures, single entry point, 5) implement innovative application of UN/CEFACT standards and recommendations, and have promoted service performance, and 6) successfully enable bilateral or multi-lateral international cooperation.
2. Electronic Business in the Public Sector
The public sector category refers to the distinguished government initiated projects using Internet technology and standards to drive eGovernment and eIndustry[1] programs significantly to enhance internal and/or external alliance as well as eBusiness or public service efficiency. Projects as a leading model which generates excellent outcomes and benefits in term of awareness raised, a mechanism of collaboration and connection over Internet across organization, supply chain and industry, as well as significant increase in the overall productivity or competitiveness will be recognized. For the case of G2G, G2B, or G2C project, user satisfaction resulted from friendly and innovative public service delivery is emphasized.
3. Electronic Business in the Private Sector
The private sector category is for the projects being executed among private institutions to enhance internal and/or external eBusiness alliance as well as
eCommerce efficiency. Projects as a leading model, which generates excellent outcomes and benefits in terms of collaboration and connection over internet within organization, across value chain, as well as significant increase in the productivity or competitiveness, will be recognized.
4. Bridging Digital Divide
The category will be focused on projects that ensure the equal opportunity of people and businesses in technology usage, such as: 1) broaden access of computers, the Internet, and high-speed networks, 2) provide people and businesses with the skilled teachers and training they need to master the information economy, and 3) promote online contents and applications that will help empowering all people and businesses to use new technologies to their fullest potential.
5. Special Honorary
The category will be honoring the person, group, organization or governmental unit with significant contribution, which improves the development of trade facilitation, eBusiness, international collaboration, and resultant in credit to AFACT community.
